Randy's Huli Chicken and Ribs

I'm a bit of a harsh critic when it comes to food. We were told. Come here! It's amazing! You need to eat this chicken! Sooooooo......we drove 52 min to try this out of this world food. It was a bit of a let down. Now..... if you are within 20in of here it could be worth eating. But I was disappointed. The ribs were the worst thing there. Under cooked, under-whelming, chewy. Not even the boys ate these. The chicken was fine. It wasn't so ... I meet this in my life chicken..... it was just chicken. Here's what we had.... Several combo plates Mac and cheese Cornbread Banana bread Freah sqeezed juice Here's what I'd say you should get. A combo plate with chicken and Brisket (but the Brisket was also not consistent) Get a side of mac and cheese Fresh sqeezed juice and cornbread. The rice was not worth eating, the corn is a no for sure. I wish they charged more to swap their corn (just canned) for the Mac and cheese. If they have the lilikoi cheese cake get it. So there ya have it. Everyone working there is super nice and food is fast.

Randy's is on a whole different level when it comes to huli huli chicken. INCREDIBLE. And that's just the tip there amazing spread of deliciousness. Ribs. Brisket. Chicken. Pork. Sliders. Combos. Super combos! And the Mac and Cheese. It's all here!!! Don't forget the cornbread, compliments, everything. And the banana bread. Your yummy will thank you. And when your nose gets a treat of all the wonderful aromas. And your eyes get bigger than your stomach. The staff will add the icing of Aloha. And they pour on the Aloha extra heavy. Great food with great price and good people. If you are in town, definitely recommend it. FYI, this review is written after I tried 2 huli chicken in Oahu and 1 in Maui. This is the best huli chicken I had so far. I ordered a quarter chicken plate and a super combo plate( definitely a lot for 2 people). The chicken is very well seasoned and juicy. I didn’t need the BBQ sauce. And brisket is smoked perfectly, very tender and juicy( better than I had in Austin, TX 🤣)

This is a must try local place for lunch. Only open Thursday & Friday, except on a few occasions (check their Facebook page for an update that week). It says it closes at 4, but I would suggest getting there no later than 3pm as they can close early when they sell out or weather. I came at 3 and they were just wrapping up and unfortunately no chicken was left, but that seems like the first thing you should try. I got 1/2lb brisket, 1/2lb roast pork & mac and cheese. Both meats were super moist and tender, but the brisket was my favorite of the two since it had a nice smokey crust. Mac was creamy and quite good. All the staff were so friendly and just overall good vibes. They also gave me some rice and cornbread for free as they were closing up.
